Beefsteak mushrooms are some of the weirdest things I've seen. They really do look like raw meat when you cut into them! They're delicious fried in lots of butter, and a great alternative to a real steak if you can find them. I've tried to capture its meatiness in the nicest possible way (better photos to come in due course).
This is a really woolly blend, and it's merino free. It's pretty soft, and would be perfect for colourwork and cosy garments and accessories.
